The Simpelcalc Download Site

What is Simpelcalc?

Simpelcalc is a "pocket" calculator that can handle most of your everyday calculation tasks.
It has especially been designed for easy, self-explanatory use.
Any mathematical expression can be typed directly into the entry line (no UPN logic).
With the Stack you have a good overview and fast access to provisional results.

Features

Simpelcalc has some special features with a focus on Electronics/Informatics.
  1. Engineering outputs in decades of three, equals kilo, mega, giga etc.
  2. Efficient calculation of parallel resistor combinations with parallel operator
  3. Powerful scalable Integer-ALU
  4. Finding precise parallel resistor combinations
  5. Basic parameter calculation of RC Circuits
  6. Mini statistics tool

What Simpelcalc is not

  1. Simpelcalc is not a function plotter
  2. Simpelcalc does not have CAS (Computer Algebra System) to solve or manipulate mathematical equations

Why did I write Simpelcalc?

Simpelcalc originally started in a C++ course at the Fachhochschule St.Gallen. After some rather annoying experiences with the Windows calculator (including Linux KCalc!) I decided to finish up the project.

Supported Operating Systems

  1. Win 9X / ME / NT / 2000 / XP
  2. Linux (work in progress!)
